Who needs the help? Us or them? Most likely US!

Updated: Dec 12, 2022

The music industry has changed drastically over the past decade as we've seen major labels shut down and see more independent artist rise to fame. The old model of how artists get their musical careers started is quickly changing, but the one thing that hasn't changed is people still want to be famous. The youth of today are bombarded with music that doesn't represent their life. When they're constantly in a state of flux, always changing and evolving, it's hard for them to find a sound that feels like home. Music is what got some through tough teenage years: easily finding solace and comfort in the lyrics of the likes of Beyonce or Biggie

Today's youth are looking for recognition in their generation by way of social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. They tend to spend hours a day, filming themselves doing different things while they sing popular songs on loop in the background. It seems that this new form for pushing out art has become so prevalent that it's even been able to produce stars from high school dropouts like Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber ,who have made millions off self.

Lately, the youth in this country are at risk and it is our responsibility to help them. They have a lot of potential but they don’t know how to get their hands on these opportunities. They need that push, they need a mentor or someone who’s willing to show them the way. We can change the way we look at them by showing that there are things out there for them, if they try hard enough and put in work and dedication into what they want to do with themselves. They just need someone to open up their eyes…….as well as ours.

SKOLLAZ ENTERTAINMENT hopes to give back to young people who need some guidance - or just want someone else who understands what they're going or been through.
